This conference study day featured: Investigating VPI using MRI, local SLT services supporting children with Cleft palate, The NOSI (Nasal Obturator for Speech) and looking at 10 year auditing in Cleft.

SLT delegates gathered to hear presentations on The South Thames Outcomes for Cleft Speech and Language Therapy – STOC-SLT”, early intervention in cleft palate, and preliminary findings of the Cleft Cohort Study: Cleft Collective.

Delegates learned about a Parent Led Articulation Therapy project (PLAT), an audit of Pierre Robin sequence outcomes, and studies of early intervention with cleft toddlers.

Conference delegates enjoyed a varied programme which covered early auditory and speech development with Cleft palate and glue ear, instrumental assessments of resonance and osteotomy. Members can download handouts from this study day from the Members’ Resource Library area of the website.
